Youth of Hope

Our congregation provides many opportunities for Youths in elementary, junior, and senior high. We hold occasional meetings for the members to decide for themselves what directions we next want to take. We generally meet for one or more gatherings per months, and these gatherings are for the purpose of fun, service, learning, and fellowship.

Some of our activities have included attending a variety of productions at the East Cleveland Play House, mid-winter Lutheran Youth Organization gatherings of 700+ Northern Ohio Youths, bowling, Walk-a-thons, retreats, fundraising projects, picnics, and planning in advance for the semi-annual national youth gathering. Most recently, our senior high youths joined 36,000 others at the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans under the theme "Jesus, Justice & Jazz."

Our youth also take an active part in the life of this congregation through a faithful Acolyte, Worship Leader and Lector program.
